You formed a battle plan of sorts as you crested the steps of the little temple. In the courtyard of the palace Stronghoen gave an epic speech, stirring his forces to war before battle was joined. The minotaurs, gnolls and beastmen commanders rushed across the open ground with Dan opening the attack by striking an arrow into Stronghoen’s eye. The gnolls responded with missile fire of their own to little effect.  As the warriors issued further missile fire on Stronghoen, Alice cast magic missile at the minotaur king who countered with a fireball. The fireball was disastrous for Stronghoen, who set himself on fire. As the minotaurs and gnolls continued to rush forwards Stronghoen was killed, his brain pierced by an arrow in his other eye. The minotaurs held their nerve and continued charging, further missiles taking down one of their number. Alice cast a choking cloud to slow the attack and by extraordinary luck Maevis word of commanded the remaining beastmen into the cloud. The batt...
