Session 2 - A wild sheep chase
You ventured a little way along the path and into the forest. Making a campfire for the night, Margaret spotted a starving bear approach. She woke up Johnny the Axe who managed to scare off the bear.
The next day travelling along the path you came across several abandoned houses that you raided for food and equipment. You met a crippled old guy in a frozen bog who told you that the village of Frostwyck lay east along the path. Arriving at Frostwyck, Thamund the gate guard let you into the village but asked for help with a problem. They have a vrodnik demon that lives in the lake that’s demanding 300lbs of meat by tomorrow evening. 3 sheep headed fauns broke in and stole the sheep they were going to use for the sacrifice. Also the witch Dama Zhadna has placed a curse on the village so that nobody can travel further than 3 leagues from it.
Heading north up the path, you encountered the corpse of a sheep headed faun being feasted on by crows. Shards of ice had pierced the faun’s body, some of the ice shards in strange almost human like shapes. Tracks lead off into the forest that lead to a frozen glade with a huge old oak tree in it.
You found a large hole at the bottom of the oak. Climbing down you ventured into root bound tunnels. You forced your way through some grabbing roots. The roots grabbed Johnny the Axe’s short sword but he attacked the roots, allowing others through. Venturing through a cave and into a room, Johnny the Axe attacked 2 black skeletons. One nearly killed him before Navvarron severed its spine with an accurate arrow shot. Margaret pulled on the metal door at the end of the room to find…
