Session 138 - Rock sacrifice lizard

You headed southwest and met up with Spinacite and Quartz, the galeb duhr. Spinacite accused Maevis of disrupting the cave system with the magic running through her. He also said that the lizardmen were damaging the cave system with their ritual. The party agreed to talk to the lizardmen on behalf of the galeb duhr and persuaded them to come with them.

On getting to the lizardmen village, G’ruk and other lizardmen were engaged in a ritual. They had painted black mouths all over themselves. Torath Manover was staked out on the floor with parts of Stronghoen arranged around him. A mouth uttering incomprehensible sounds was in the floor close to Torath.

Dan and Maevis persuaded G’ruk to postpone the ritual. He was cagey about the outcome of the ritual, simply saying it would bring them closer to their god and would right a past injustice. G’ruk said that no harm would come to the party or the galeb duhr. The galeb duhr were happy with this outcome until they learned that the ritual had just been postponed. Spinacite said that the lizardmen were going to poison the cave system.

After a very protracted negotiation G’ruk agreed to permanently halt the ritual, saying that maybe times had changed and a different approach was worth considering. He was pondering the relationship between the slave race and the lizardmen. The news that the ritual had been halted caused a stir amongst the other lizardmen.
