Session 8 - Exit

Trix questioned the villagers about how they got here and discovered that the undead creature was Brythe, the old head woman of Frostwyck. You tried to set fire to Brythe but the creature started to break free of its imprisonment in an effort to escape the flames. A desperate attempt to restrain the creature occurred before Almir pulled the rack over the pit and the creature fell in.

In an attempt to see how deep the pit was you dropped some flaming wood down it. The pit was maybe 60 feet deep. However the noise attracted a bunch of starving giant rats. These were quickly driven off. 

You advanced down the burnt tunnel before opening a newly made door into a huge room. A fat greasy woman called Eryn was overseeing some slaves cleaning the room up. She wanted to know why you were here but on threats she crumbled and said that Jotun in the village had paid her 5 silver to inform him of anybody snooping around. She said she was cleaning the room to prepare for the big ritual Garath and Explicata were planning. You paid her 2 silver for her silence.

On the other side of the room you found a long tunnel leading to the surface. Half way along the tunnel a huge centipede like creature dropped from the ceiling and rushed towards you. Thorto hit the creature in the eye with an arrow and drove it off. 

You spent the night camped in the mouth of the tunnel before the cairn. In the morning Cece said she needed to head back to help Explicata. You tied her up and gagged her and dragged her back to the village with you.
