Session 130 - The darkness in Dan

Alexandros lead the party to the manticore room and everybody reunited. Amongst the urns, Dan found a sword with a dark blue blade. The sword urged him to kill the rest of the party and feed it blood. Dan offered to pay Alexandros for the sword to drink his blood but Alexandros was horrified  and started to run. Van Petrol tripped him and Alice convinced him to stay.

With Dan, Maggot and Amersh leading point, you advanced down a corridor to a gnoll outpost. Alexandros asked for the door to be opened and the party burst through, slaughtering the 2 guards. You did the same again to the next door, this time trapping one of the gnolls under the door. In the room with the giant boiler, you quickly dispatched the 4 gnolls and announced that the slaves were free. Alexandros said that there were a lot less gnolls than usual, everybody was probably still at a great speech organised by Stronghoen.

Dan asked 2 of the slaves to let the sword drink blood for gold and they were so used to being beaten that they agreed. Maevis silenced the sword. Dan gave the sword to one of the slaves. However the sword was greedy and opened a large wound in the other slave’s arm. The slave wielding the sword was startled and threw the sword back at Dan. The sword drank mightily of Dan’s blood. Dan then attacked and killed the slave sending the rest of the slaves running.

The party advanced further, coming across another gnoll guard post in the confusion of running slaves. Again the gnolls were quickly dispatched with Maggot and Maevis taking a particular dislike to their knees.
