Session 13 - Investigations

Making your way back from the Temple of Gevorgun to Dragonback Farm, you found the captives still bound up. After reading Heny Rynge’s letters, you made a thorough search of the farm. Christoph found Heny Rynge’s book in the stables.

Getting back to Frostwyck you found Gallio Leanwhip, another Aquilonian slaver, trying to get in the gate. Mery and Thamund were not letting him in. He offered skua eggs and a deer skin, even a wild unicorn chase. You let him wander off into the wild.

Getting into Frostwyck you returned the bandits to Grover, the drunken constable. He again warned you to clear out of town.

Heading to the lake, Zakarias the village chief, had gathered the villagers. He was intending to sacrifice fat old Oleg and Ramne the hermit. A great rejoicing went up as you delivered the livestock from Dragonback Farm. A few in the crowd were tearful about what happened to the family that owned the farm. Zakarias said he was sure that Ramne was behind all the trouble in the village. Zakarias distributed the livestock to the people.

Taking a break in Golden Grain Inn, buying expensive beer, you met a scarred man called Derek. He said that Zakarias certainly had his favourites in the village. You returned Heny’s book to Lady Jaranta Winterule. She gave you 20 gold. She again asked you to get in touch with Heny Rynge himself. Kearny quietly reminded you again that the money on offer was enough to make most people bend the rules and come up with inventive solutions.

Dusty managed to find a blow pipe. Christoph and Thorto had tea with Tilleue, Heny Rynge’s mum. She said Misha had changed and wouldn’t let her see Heny. She went on about how bad it was that he got involved with that Aquilonian, Lord Winterule. Argathrax threatened Ramne the hermit with a spear. Ramne wasn’t cowed and told Argathrax to go away.
