Session 97 - Floating head

Dushi Sone turned up and had been branded with the eye of a crocodile when her followers found out she was a priestess of Uishin. The party agreed to ferry her out of the city via pterodactyl. Chad recovered his precious axe from the weaponsmith and knocked one of the guards out on the training field. Malice paid a priestess of Lhankor Mhy for locations of temples of Aldrya. Tida secured the use of Xyphon’s giant boat carved in the image of Mr-Ka-Na-King across the river.

Getting wind of the party leaving, Queen Vania tried to persuade some of you to stay, saying she needed good people. Hogwash once again stayed. Krogar the priest of Humakt prophesied one of you would die in the battle against the demon that was menacing the road. He said this demon’s main weapon was fear. You made it across the lake without incident despite the crocodiles watching you go. 

Once on the shore, under the giant crocodile gates, Malice, Mivian, Joe and Chad set off on pterodactyls for the grove of Aldrya. As the party was circling downwards to land, you spied 2 identical elven priests arguing at sword point. They were both claiming that the other was an imposter. When the first elf did not want to touch the second you assumed he was the fake. However he reacted badly to the touch of iron and the other did not.

A battle ensued where the fake elf’s head detached trailing bloody organs, the sight of which stunned Chad. Mivian was lifted aloft. The detached head was about to sink its sharp teeth into Chad when Joe used Grimalkin’s cutlass to finish it off.
