Session 78 - The reading of the dead

You headed down the spiral staircase and into the Hall of Dreamfull Repose. The old ballroom was shattered by many crypts thrusting from the floor. The first crypt you came across was empty but the name on it was Ireena: Wife. Ireena feels she is doomed to die here. The second crypt was Animus, last in the line of the builders of this keep. Duca said these crypts were a desecration, these people should be in the Winter Palace.

You kept moving forward until you reached the other side of the ballroom and found a huge set of stairs leading down. Halfway down the stairs, a landing was bathed in blue light between 2 giant statues. As soon as Moe stepped into the light, he was teleported back to the top of the stairs. Billy was able to pass through the light unaffected. On the other side was a large room containing statues of Valar and Silenus’ first born children. 

Examining the rest of the room, you decided to break into the crypt of Ivan: Beloved of Anna. Hazel’s tear spell took a chunk out of the crypt door and the stone coffin inside but not enough to see the contents of the coffin. At Ireena’s suggestion you then broke into Animus’ crypt. You found nothing but bones which you layed to rest in the blue light. Ireena briefly flashed a look of hatred at Hazel.

After further searching amongst the crypts, you found a door leading south out of the ballroom. Hazel came across a dreamfull alcove that had not been defiled by a crypt. Hazel and Billy had a nap while Van Petrol and Moe searched further north, finding another door.
