Session 84 - Who dares dies

Silenus still could not believe Caliadne was working against him. Hazel asked if he could remember anything odd about Caliadne. Silenus said that he had a dim recollection of her standing over him on the altar in the middle of the stone circle of Cawic. Then being taken to a compound in the woods to the north of the village. Also that she collected a lot of relics, including some of the Bloody Tongued God. She buys stuff from Bildrath’s Mercantile in Silenia. When she visits Silenia she stays at Silax’s house on the main street, a few doors down from Bildrath’s Mercantile.

Silenus thought that you all deserved gifts for saving him. You started to trek to the library but you again encountered Laeroth the elf in Valar’s temple. He’d planted a tree at the behest of Caliadne that had infected the icon of Valar. He arrogantly assured you that everything was OK and he couldn’t have done anything wrong. Your attempts at removing the tree hurt Valar. You agreed that you’d search in the library for any information that might help.

On the way to the library Laeroth and the elves were ambushed by the gargoyles at the entrance. They came running back and got shielded by Hazel. Ireena impetuously charged forward with Duca supporting and begging for help. As the rest of the party cautiously fed into the battle, Duca went down under a hail of blows and Ireena had her jaw split open. One of Learoth’s elves finished off the remaining gargoyle with an arrow.
