Session 11 - Catch a tiger

Heading out from the farm, following the tracks you noticed a plume of smoke coming from the south. Thorto recognised it as a dwarven distress signal. Heading south into the forest you came across 3 huge dwarven faces carved out of an escarpment. A broken bridge led to an opening in the middle face.

On the bridge a vulgoth tiger had cornered a dwarf. Yak tried calming it with music but her playing was so bad that it attracted the attention of another tiger, which leapt at her through the trees. She survived the assault and a combined crowbar attack drove the creature away.

The first tiger leapt at the dwarf while the party rushed forwards. The tiger killed the dwarf and picked it up in its jaws as a threat display. A hail of blows and arrows rained down on the tiger but it killed Tewk in a savage attack. Thorto finally killed it after blinding it in both eyes with his arrows.

The dwarf had a few notes on his person:  His brother Gwari Greybeard has been captured by the hobgoblin Thawi Udom to sell for fights in the ring in St Lewiston. Brumthila said we should stop here in Kazad Mor to obtain weapons from the Runeforge before assaulting the powerful hobgoblins. She took Bali and Turi in with her. The last note states that Kazad Mor, the mine that once made Frostwyck wealthy, is now cursed.

Navarron tried to cast rope trick to get across the broken bridge but failed. The party got back on the tracks of the sheep and bandits. You came to a dilapidated dwarven temple and a herd of cows and sheep. Half the group made their way toward the temple and the others towards the herd.

Bandits appeared from behind columns and hit several party members with arrows. Thorto called a halt to the violence and started negotiating with the bandits over the ones they’d already captured. An agreement of sorts was made with Cenga to exchange one bandit for one sheep. Then Navarron tried to charm Cenga but the spell failed. The deal was off and the party retreated.
