Session 6 - The grip of death

Out of the mud raced many giant centipedes. Christoph and Navarron raced back to the rest of the party. Thorto slowed the advance with his bow, skewering the leading 2 centipedes with a single shot. Steve D tried the door and found it stuck but Dusty forced it open with his sword. A running battle ensued with the centipedes, Christoph smashing many with his hammer. The centipedes got fowled up in the blood of their brethren and the remaining few retreated. 

Dusty entered into a room with a single column in the middle and the stench of death. From behind the pillar a walking corpse emerged, advancing towards Steve D. Dusty backstabbed the corpse and dropped it. He prodded it with his sword and the corpse grabbed the sword! Christoph waded in and smashed its head with a hammer. Everybody else started examing the room, Navarron finding a fire burned door and Dusty looking for signs of what might’ve been controlling the creature.

The corpse got back up and started throttling Christoph. It nearly choked the life out of him but Navarron pinned it to the wall and the rest of the party smashed it to the ground again. Everybody retreated through the north door which Thorto barricaded. Dusty found some villagers held in cells but the cells were locked. Everybody sat down, made a fire and cooked some of the delicious giant centipedes that Thorto had collected.
