Session 114 - Sword in the sarcophagus

Chad smashed at the sarcophagus with a piece of stone from the door. Eventually he broke a hole in the side but the noise attracted some more Hivernian zombie guards. The giant lizards mounted a defence but one of them succumbed to the awful infections of the undead. Joe managed to catapult himself off a giant lizard tail and into the fray shortly followed by Chad with a mighty leap off a giant lizard head. Once Chad and Joe had stormed in they quickly polished off the threat that Malice, Sam and Gina were struggling to contain.

Thruz started taking pieces of bone out of the sarcophagus through the hole. Chad smashed them as they came out. Thruz could only reach so far inside the hole so Malice summoned a beatle swarm to ferry more out. More bones came out but a clunking noise came from inside the coffin. Thruz went to look but got assaulted by a magic jar spell that Malice countered. Chad stuck the bat sword inside the hole and pinned the mask to the floor. Joe came to help but just proved to be bad luck. Chad reached in and took the mask out of the hole…
