Session 67 - Ditch Mother’s shame

Queen Vania shook a bleary Joe awake. Mina explained to the Queen that they had killed the sword thief and were trying to prove the identity of his employer. Mina said that she suspected Ogolorph. Queen Vania said she must bring proof of this.

The party pretended to discover Thankmar Underhill’s body in the lower citadel and blamed Aquilonian forces for the sword’s disappearance. A large crowd formed in the night and muttered against the treacherous Aquilonians.

The next day in the north the other party contemplated their actions. Unfortunately they were interrupted by the howling of wolves. Ditch Mother said that the party had not followed customs and had summoned and slaughtered many wolves. You refused to hand over Alice to the wolves.

A voice from the trees in the north cried out for help. The wolves launched a pincer attack, placing Van Petrol and Alice in danger. Alice’s blinding pyrotechnics bought the party valuable time. A savage fight ensued in which the heroic Dan received a tremendous wound from Ditch Mother before Barratt forced the giant wolf to cower before him. With dominance established the wolves sprinted back into the safety of the forest.
