Session 46 - The cold arms of death

Advancing into the chamber you noticed a cairn with the skeleton of a goat headed warrior atop it. Barret strode up and immediately plunged his sword into the neck of the warrior. It awoke, the sword blow not harming it. Barret retreated. The wight followed. Barret tried forcing the creature to the ground. A mistake. His life force started ebbing from him.

The rest of the party cautiously moved forward as the desperate fight unfolded. Barret ran for his life. The wight pierced Van Petrol's magic shield. Maevis stepped forward and uttered mighty words of Valar and the wight fled temporarily into the darkness.

From the cairn Barret picked up a bronze pot with a depiction of Valar and Silenus riding together in a chariot. The party headed back to the second chamber. The statue was that of Silenus. Maevis discovered that the party had been looting a tomb of Silenus and ordered all items replace and performed the purification ritual. However something was wrong. Valar and Silenus' followers do not entomb themselves. They take the pilgrimage to Valar's Winter Palace.

The party headed back into the darkness and found a second tomb of a long dead human queen. Hazel repaired the pillow on which the queen's head was resting. Something stirred in the tomb...
