Session 44 - The goat went down

A brief interlude occurred where talking to Farthigny, the long horned goat man, was attempted. It did not last long and the usual murder spree resumed.

After taking the mighty blow from Van Petrol, Farthigny went down on the next hit. After dying, he transformed into a skeleton. You then negotiated with his moss dwarf underlings who seemed to be a bit nonplussed at the death of their master. You found out that Farthigny was spying on the Drunes and Drunemeton. What he was after they did not know. They wanted to set off north for the Nag Lord's court to report and the party were keen to accompany them, taking you past Drunemeton. The moss dwarves mentioned that the Nag Lord's court was near to Fort Vulgar, the last known location of Prince Yalvan. The moss dwarves did not want to head south round Lake Longmere as it would take them past the ruined elven city of Cyfandir. Ruined by some monstrous creature that may well lurk there till this day.

The house was searched and many odd and strange things were found including a sealed crock labelled “Cucumber Pickles” containing equal parts cucumbers and human thumbs. A map of Drunemeton. A still living dryad tortuously carved into a bench. The dryad attempted to curse Barrett and he ended up ending the dryad's miserable existence.

On further discussion with the moss dwarves, it was discovered that Farthigny was one of the Nag Lord's sons. At which point the party decided that as the moss dwarves were the only ones who'd witnessed the murderous act, they had to go too. The party launched a surprise attack and another battle ensued. Some of the moss dwarves tried to escape but were run down. The moss dwarves also collapsed into skeletons when they were slain.
