BTP - Sessions 34 - 37

Session 37 - Who's for lunch?

After failing to get the pterandons out of the room, you turned round and headed back. Going through the cloth filled belly, you fought the pebble golem. Joe nearly died before Sam savaged the pebble golem's legs like a terrier.

Mina successfully passed through the glass tunnel and encountered Inna Sharptooth. She was badly bruised after encounters with her husband. She wanted him dead now. There is a key somewhere that Inna can't find that gives access to Vung's temple.

After heading back to the belly you found that it had changed. A lake with a temple in the middle. Summoning 2 pterandons, you got ferried across the lake. Dropping down before the temple, you saw many pairs of eyes in the water.

Session 36 - The Old Ruins

The Lonesome Bachelor rushed at you out of the river. You ordered half the dire eels to distract him and they led him off on a murderous chase.

Paddling on up the river, you passed a blood stained stone on a frozen beach. Carrying on past this you came to the sandbar where Vung and Inna Sharptooth were brutally killed. You searched in vain for evidence of their bodies, only finding a scrap of Inna's clothing by a cruel looking spike.

You paddled back down the river to the maw of the old ruins, ignoring a lizard man statue offering a golden necklace. Travelling on you came to a room filled with old possessions guarded by a pebble golem. You got the wolves to distract the golem while you sneaked past.

After going a down a shaft, you came to a cloudy room filled with pteranodons and runes pointing to a wall.

Session 35 - Lurking

You left the 2 old fishermen and carried on up the river. You came across 2 young men on the side of the river who challenged you to a dire eel wrestling contest. Gina wrestled the dire eel but drew her dagger out. At this the young men called a halt to the fight. However Gina managed to cut a sliver of flesh off the dire eel.

Paddling up the river you passed a crocodile shaped cave. Tida pointed this out as the Old Ruins where the Lonesome Bachelor lived. You paddled on up past the ruins till you hit a bend with a man floating in the water. When you pick him out he's still alive, saying that they were attacked by the lonesome bachelor.

You summoned many many dire eels. You sent two off to investigate the deep bool by the sheer rock face climbing out of the river. They did not return.

Session 34 - Is that a crocodile I see before me?

On the shores of lake Xalter, after talking to Tida about burial rites, you decided to try and recover Vung Sharptooth and his wife's bodies and bury them properly. You shopped the encampment until a guy accussed Sam of stealing his mace.

Summoning a flock of curlews, to keep watch around the boat, you set off across the lake. Up the tributary, you came across a natural ampitheatre overhanging the river. Two old fishermen with tatooed faces were singing. They were the keepers of the oral history of the fishermen. Strangely they did not know of the Lonesome Bachelor or Vung Sharptooth.
