Session 134 - Heart to heart

You quickly defeated the one armed minotaur and the remaining gnolls. You headed back to the teleporter pool. Alice figured out how to discorporate the water elemental back into the pool. You performed the rituals again, with everybody but Helmund jumping through the pool into the minotaur room. 

You took the occupants by surprise and finished the minotaurs and gnolls off in short order. The minotaurs were reluctant to escape the room. They’d barred it from the inside against something trying to get in. After quite a bit of planning you pulled the cage containing the heart out of the hole.

You asked Isen about the heart and she said she wanted to take it to the high temple of Valar in the Black Goat Wood. Then find the other half somewhere under Cyfandir. Isen wanted to take the heart back herself, saying she was the chosen one. Maevis convinced her that she should take the heart. 

Maevis picked up the heart and her chest bubbled open. The 2 hearts intertwined. She rose above the floor and sparks of lightning flew out of her. One narrowly missed Maggot. Maevis grew taller and started glowing. She eventually got her powers under control and floated back down to the floor.

Everybody stood on the platform and Maggot winched people down to the floor of the giant cave. The gargoyles picked up Maggot and flew him down. With the heart in Maevis the cavern was in complete darkness apart from the light shining from her. You ended up right by the circle of apple trees and fetched Helmund from the palace.
