Session 123 - Dreams of death

After finding the ring Maggot broke open the wedged shut door. You found nothing but the remains of many giant centipedes and a broken statue. You headed south into a room deep with bat guano while thousands of bats swirled around you. Moving forward Maggot heard voices in the darkness. A group of slaves lead by a man called Burhuia were trying to escape but one of them had been wounded. Gnolls were guarding the entrance. 

Burhuia said they’d been shot at by gnolls hiding in the trees overhanging the entrance. Maggot crept up the stairs and got good sight of the gnolls. A brave slave called Helmund decided he’d join the fight. Maggot threw his javelin, killing one and jumped into the tree using his new magic ring only to be shot at by another gnoll. He quickly ended it with another javelin shot. Amersh killed another with an arrow and Maevis lotus stared the remaining gnoll, making it easy prey.

Meanwhile Dan went to talk to the lizardmen, announcing he was leaving. G’ruk tried showing Dan a piece of bone but Dan wasn’t interested. G’ruk said he’d tried to contact Xiximanter and Yaxalayum but wasn’t able to. Instead he had a dream where the minotaurs burst through the doors and wiped the settlement out. Dan tried to convince the lizardmen to flee but G’ruk said they’d die in the snow. Dan convinced the lizardmen to assault the palace of the minotaurs. 

While the lizardmen were getting painted for battle, Torath Manover told Dan he was making a stupid mistake aiding the lizardmen. Dan could not be persuaded otherwise and Torath left in a rage.
