Session 7 - Old blue eyes

You questioned Tharlas and Aedild, the children, about how they came to be in jail. They said they’d nipped over the palisade against their mum’s orders and a group of villagers from Frostwyck approached them. Something wasn’t right and the villagers captured the children.

The jailers returned with captured Aquilonian slavers. Sige the chief jailer approached cautiously but stumbled and burned himself on the fire. Him and the other 2 jailers were quickly dispatched. You recognised the starving and mauled Aquilonians from the slave barge and imprisoned them in the cells.

You moved through a room full of tables with manacles attached to them. Nothing was found after a thorough search.

You came into a room with a woman headed snake statue. A shadowy creature with glowing blue eyes lurked behind the statue. Garath, a stocky priest, asked what you were doing here and who’d put you up to this. If some of the party stayed with him as insurance, he offered you money to go away. Steve D stepped forward and Garath started casting a spell. Garath was dispatched under a hail of blows before his spell could go off. The creature with glowing blue eyes proved harder to kill. You downed it several times but it kept getting back up. Every time it hit one of you, you felt the cold touch of death creep over you but luck was on your side. Apart from poor Ben who was killed with a single blow. Eventually Christoph dragged and restrained the creature on the rack in the room. Steve D, resistant to cold, removed its ancient armour and gave it to Christoph.
