Session 127 - Monster mash

Four minotaurs were still standing when the choking cloud dissipated. A herd of cows encircled them in a protective ring. G’ruk and the lizardmen wanted to start killing the cows but Eidothera and the dryads wanted to save them. Amersh stepped in and suggested that the lizardmen eat the already dead Stronghoen the minotaur king. The dryads wanted no part of that and left.

The minotaurs became extremely distressed when the lizardmen started eating Stronghoen. You tried to calm them but a bull charged at Maevis. Maevis lotus stared a good proportion of the herd of cows and commanded them to leave. 

While the lizardmen were eating Stronghoen, you moved toward the palace. The slaves that were gathered on the steps looked nervously at the north pool and fled. As Maevis stepped onto the palace courtyard a 5 headed hydra emerged from the pool. It charged Maevis and one of the heads bit her. Billy noticed a group of harpies gathered on the palace roof. Amersh and Mo charged in, each lopping a head off the hydra. The harpies swooped down and started casting spells. Alice took out 3 of them with a lucky magic missile. The gargoyles killed the hydra in a frenzy of blessed attacks. The remaining 2 harpies picked up Maevis and tried to carry her off but missile fire from the rest of the party brought them back to ground and killed them.

You ventured into a huge temple to Orlanth the old storm god. A giant statue of Orlanth sat atop a golden throne. Two giant golden doors led into the rest of the palace.
