Session 89 - Hurricane fallout

You left the fauns trying to recover their house beetles from the rose bush and headed into the hurricane damaged village. There you met a small group of people lead by Athaff who wanted you to come and help look for people in some of the collapsed houses in the poorer part. You convinced Athaff that the fire was higher priority and sent them off to the river to fetch water. 

A group of men led by Geoffry tried to dissuade you from dowsing the fire. They were standing around a dead body. Some of the men were wearing an inverted candle as a holy symbol round their neck, a symbol of the Brotherhood of the Black Beast, specifically the Queen Nitocris subcult. Alice scared them off when she summoned a swarm of giant spiders. Maggot, Billy and Van Petrol followed the men. Amersh identified the body as that of Wulfre, a pretty quiet man, but he also had an inverted candle symbol.

Dan and Moe went inside Bildrath’s Mercantile to look for survivors.  They didn’t find any but Dan found a chest which he dropped out of an upstairs window. Moe was carried out by a hungry giant spider. Alice and Amersh got a barrel of water from the Blood on the Vine Tavern and started to fight the fire. Maevis helped Findire the faun start to repair the roof of the tavern with magical assistance.

Van Petrol, Billy and Maggot followed Geoffry to Salix’s manor house. Billy and Maggot overhead Geoffry having a conversation with the guards at the door saying that the job had gone wrong. Van Petrol sneaked round the back of the house and came face to face with a guard. Van knocked the guard unconscious but not before he’d called out. Van Petrol jammed the front door with a spear and imitated the voice of the guard but got into a confused conversation.
