Session 73 - Soul burn

You headed back up the spiral staircase, coming out into another corridor. At the end you found another tower room and archer’s post. While leaving you bumped into the drunken faun Xaes and 4 other fauns. You eventually convinced them to leave you alone by giving them a jar of wizard’s eyeballs. 

You headed down into the basement of the castle, reaching a room where a great battle had taken place. While Barrett was searching the room he heard the noise of a creature hunting for something in next room. You burst through into the next room, to be confronted by nothing. It was only when Barrett went to look at the weapons on the wall that the terrible form of a shadow demon materialised.

Barrett advanced, struggling to damage the semi material demon. It launched a horrible assault on him, soul burning some of his life force away. Everybody else piled in, still struggling to damage the shadow demon, until Hazel stepped into the room with her lantern. Attacks hit with increasing force till Maevis skewered the demon against the wall with an incredibly lucky lunge with her lance. 

In the desk you found a teleportation ring, which Dan zipped around trying out. And in the wall, a secret door....
