Session 70 - Cobwebs of undeath

You advanced through the secret door into a cobwebbed outer passage. Advancing west you came across an archer’s post with many mirrors in it and the cloaked figure of Lord Malbleat hovering in the air looking out of the castle. You set an alarm and retreated back along the passage. You came up a long spiral staircase. 

The staircase came out on the battlements of the castle, high above the rain soaked courtyard below. You ducked inside the first door you came across, a decaying banqueting hall. Hazel stole some cutlery. You advanced through a strange silvery door and were assaulted by a skeleton and a wight. Sticky the spider did a good job of immobilising the undead in his webs. Duca drove the skeleton away before Dan smashed the retreating undead with a mighty blow. After a longer fight Barrett struck a similarly powerful blow against the wight.

You continued up another spiral staircase and came to a landing with a painting of Valar on it. The painting hypnotised Sticky the spider before Dan set it aflame with his torch from around the corner. Dan then used Barrett’s mirror to advance on the painting but was unfortunately still hypnotised. Eventually the painting burned out and Sticky and Dan were released from the hypnosis.
