The presence in the tomb revealed itself as Calla. She explained she was the queen of King Deyr, the founder of Fort Vulgar. He had grown mad and powerful and entombed her and her sons, preventing them from journeying to Valar's Winter Palace. She felt his presence nearby.
The party headed deeper in, finding an empty tomb. Hazel tried to summon Deyr but did not succeed. The noise of her attempts summoned a pack of ghouls. Barrett brutally defended Alice while she fried the ghouls using Ulin's wand.
You ventured into rough hewn side passages, and retreated to Calla's tomb again. Dan questioned Calla and determined that he lay somewhere deeper in the tomb.
