Session 27 - The quartermaster's stores

Our hardened adventurers set out from Xalter on a mission to locate Queen Vania's lost son and find the pilgrimage to Valar's Winter Palace.

Maevis and Canutia went to the temple of Valar in the palace. Valar did not answer Maevis' prayers. Canutia was convinced that Prince Yalvan had been taken by Annen Sone into the Black Goat Wood.

Gina made Queen Jocestis a pair of gloves which she was very happy with.

Billy got a set of leather armour made by Brebeald the Smith.

Maevis was approached by Gytheue who said that her friend had disappeared. You tracked him down to the quartermaster's stores. You killed Silas Purplecloth the quartermaster. In the basement you discovered Numerious Goodblood's son Auriga and they were happily reunited.

Session 26 - Too much wine

Bowie and Billy escaped into the inner citadel and were accosted by a hungry child asking for food. He responded to Bowie's communication in Thieves Cant. They met up with Hazel and sold the armour to Brebeald the smith.

Fraffolk expounded on his theories that a god of wolves and men called the Sand Bat stole the heart of Valar and that's why the cold hasn't gone. He was researching information for King Yalaring Monsterslayer. He mentioned Rappan Athuk as being a home of the gods.

Mina and Joe attracted a small crowd of people they rescued. They then went to find a rat catcher. On the way out they saw the Aquilonian garrison and the construction of a huge temple to Mitra and the Seven Mothers. They commissioned Eram the rat catcher to capture 100 rats.

The sumptuous feast continued in the Megaron. Canutia, King Glyptus the Good's youngest daughter, approached Maevis and confided in her that she thought Yalvan was going mad and had been consorting with Caliadne the nymph. Queen Jocestis asked Gina to make her a pair of gloves.

Barrett had a night of unbridled passion with Princess Hecis followed by an attempted poisoning. When Barrett didn't die she got bored with him.

Everyone settled down for the night at the King's Inn except for Mina and Joe who bedded down at a wealthy ex cultists house.
