Session 112 - Into the land of the dead

In the midst of the fight Mina successfully healed Chad. Malice’s mighty magic missile and the giant lizards swallowing enemies rolled the battle back into the party’s favour. Chad’s armour seized but by this time the battle was over with the remaining lizardmen fleeing. All but 2 were cut down with Gina wrestling the jade egg from the painted lizardman’s grasp.

Next you headed north and encountered Ixcacolel the water spirit who requested to be freed from her imprisonment. She asked for the Crown of Bats as a way out of her binding to the pool. You told her that you had destroyed the crown of bats. Mivian came up with the idea of binding her to herself as a familiar and pulled off the difficult spell. Despite warnings Chad went near the pool and was attacked by a giant octopus. Malice one shotted it with magic missiles. 

Taking Ixcacolel with you, you entered the land of the dead. Everybody managed to avoid a huge blade trap that Chad triggered. Then you found a corridor filled with an iron powder. Joe headed down the corridor trying to trigger anything but it was Mina joining him that set the trap off. A wall slid down revealing an amber lion golem. A furious battle ensued against the mighty creature and eventually the golem went down.
