Session 103 - Crocodile ritual

Chad tried to prise the eyes from the statue but the noise attracted a group of undead Hivernian guards. The party was unwilling to let Gina be taken as a hostage so a fight ensued in which the guards were quickly dispatched.

The party took a right into a cavern with a giant black door sealed with wax. Graben unpicked part of the seal to peek through and saw a black pool moving slowly towards the door. After much debate Mina sealed the room back up with her wax candles.

Advancing further you came to a bridge across a red river leading into a huge cavern. Chad tried a bit of the water and suffered no ill effects. Crossing the bridge you investigated some houses and found one filled with daggers and bat masks. A strange light was coming from the back of the cavern. Gina kept watch but was grabbed by another ghoul guard. Mina rushed to the rescue and pulled her back. The rest of the party rushed forward attacking the ghouls and a mummy. Mina got paralysed and Graben took a bad hit. Joe and Chad steadied the line while Malice took out the ghouls with a magic missile. Joe finished the mummy off with a brutal hit.

Malice searched for crocodile tracks and they led to the strange light at the back of the cavern. Gina and Mivian snuck up and found Margessa the third queen of the Crocodile King conducting a foul ritual atop a pyramid. 

The party launched an ambush. Joe quickly took out the 2 hunters, whilst the rest of the Xaltans rushed down the steps towards the bear. In the chaos Gina snuck up and killed Margessa.
