Session 52 - Troll trouble

Queen Vania admits that she is worried that there's something wrong with Yalvan. She introduced you to Mivian Frozencurl. A sprite captured in the Black Goat Wood and badly abused by Yalvan. You persuaded her to join the party.

Ogolorph and his men strode into the megaron proclaiming his deeds. He requested Queen Vania's hand in marriage, proposing a military alliance. Queen Vania gave a non comital answer and you distracted Ogolorph with plans of war.

You located Big Guts the troll and persuaded his jailer to free him. Big Guts was still afraid of King Yalaring and accompanied you. Unfortunately he wasn't keen to ascend to the battlements and Ogolorph arrived as he was homing on the delicious looking Hogwash. A savage argument broke out with Ogolorph commanding you to return Big Guts to his cell and follow his orders. You persuaded him that Queen Vania had ordered this and he should go and consult with her.

By hook and by crook you got Big Guts up onto the battlements. Overlooking the Aquilonians you saw a force of 20 men led by Decius Sunsword. A ramp is being built to overcome the block of the gates. And Blackbite the dark troll accompanied by trollkin. On seeing Blackbite, Big Guts abandoned you and climbed over the wall. Spells flew and arrows were unleashed. A cloud of fog rolled down towards the troops. A mighty shot took out the cleric's tongue. All but one archer succumbed to a lotus stare.
